great stay with some minor room adjustments
The room was spacious, meticulously clean, and the beds were incredibly comfy. I loved having a good writing desk with ample lighting and enough outlets for my devices. The lovely garden view through the windows added a nice touch to my mornings.
The breakfast options were decent but could use some hot selections.

The property has an interesting charm with clean rooms and friendly staff, making it a fun place to relax. However, issues like mold and a lack of upkeep in certain areas diminished the experience. It’s worth noting that train noise could be a concern for light sleepers.

Solo traveler paradise
The room was like a sanctuary it had a fridge which I didn't expect and the bed felt like a cloud, let me tell you, it was hard to get out of it in the morning. Plus, the staff treated me like family they kept the coffee coming and always had a smile on their faces, made me feel right at home.
It wasn't exactly dirt cheap but honestly, worth every penny.

We had a fantastic time at this cozy spot! The themed rooms were spacious and immaculate, perfect for our family getaway. We especially loved exploring the nearby Chuckanut Mountains, with great hiking trails and beautiful views that kept everyone entertained, including our little one.
For dads, it would be great if there was a playground nearby.

Heliotrope is a hidden gem with cozy vibes and friendly staff, like Cody who hooked us up with top-notch local eats. The nearby Cascade Pizza and Menace Brewing were absolute highlights! Plus, the clean and modern rooms made for a comfy stay.
I was bummed I had to shuffle off to find a smoke spot in the dark—def not safe. Also, would’ve loved some coffee and a microwave in the room. waiting for coffee at 3am was no picnic!

It was just a balanced option for a stopover in Bellingham with great value-to-price ratio. The mattress was too soft for my liking, but the location was quiet enough for a decent sleep. Bring your own microwave if you need late-night snacks.
